The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has added the ability to pay. Using UPI at ticket booths and counters at all stations in an effort to enhance the ticketing experience. The goal of this project, according to a statement from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. (DMRC), is to make ticketing and transit digital and easy. The UPI app for commuters’ cell phones will allow them to recharge their smart cards or purchase QR tickets for Metro, according to the release.
DMRC – Removes the requirement to carry cash or debit/credit cards
You can use UPI to pay in the same way that you do in stores and malls every day. In the portions of Noida and Ghaziabad with certain ticket vending machines, DMRC started UPI service in 2018. This action will eliminate the need to carry cash or debit/credit cards, according to a statement from DMRC.
According to the statement, TVMs have been updated at more than 125 stations in the Delhi-NCR network in conformity with current practice. Within a week, the UPI facility will be extended to the remaining TVMs.
