India has developed a manned flying drone for the first time. The Indian Navy is the intended user of the locally constructed pilotless drone. The Indian Navy will employ it aboard warships for the first time in combat following extensive testing. After that, it will be utilized for human transportation. Recently it was demonstrated in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the ‘Swavalamban’ program held in New Delhi.

The drone lifted off during the demonstration at a height of around two meters, flew for a distance, and then came back to land. Startup “Sagar Defence” has created the indigenous drone “Varun.” On the other hand, a person has to just sit in it and do nothing other than that. This drone will automatically take him from one place to another. With the use of a remote, it will be controlled.

Nikunj Parashar, Founder, and CEO, of Sagar Defense Engineering, said in an interview, ‘That Varun’ will be initially used for cargo transportation in the Navy. It has four autopilot modes, some maintaining the ability to fly continuously even in the event of rotor failure. At present it has been tested on land, we will do sea trials in the next three months.
