The High-Level National Committee involved in the implementation of Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi has given its approval to run a national flag program in every house on the occasion of Independence Day this year. Earlier some states had planned to organize this program on their own.
New Delhi: The Central Government, which is working to make the Amrit Festival of Independence memorable, has decided to celebrate Independence Day in a special way this time. Under this, there is a plan to hoist the national flag in every house across the country. Its preparation has also started on a large scale. This seven-day event will start on August 15, four days before Independence Day in the country, and will continue till two days later. The objective of this initiative is to inculcate the feeling of patriotism among the people as well as to connect people with national concerns.
Responsibility assigned to all ministries and departments
The high-level national committee involved in the implementation of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence has given its approval to run the program ‘Har Ghar National Flag’ on the occasion of Independence Day this year. Earlier some states had planned to organize this program on their own. Later the initiative was taken to organize it on a large scale across the country. During the program, people will be made aware of the rules related to hoisting the national flag as well as its history. Currently, the committee has delegated responsibility for the entire campaign to all ministries and departments. This includes initiatives like preparing the national flag and motivating everyone to fly the flag.
Prabhat Feria will come out for awareness, street plays will be held at various places
According to the Ministry of Culture, this event will be special in itself. In this, between 11 to 17 August, anyone will be able to hoist the national flag at their home. During this, people will also be made aware of the rules and regulations related to flag hoisting, including making the flag easily available. Educational institutions and volunteer organizations are being used to raise awareness. To create awareness among the general public, Prabhat Pheri, and street plays, etc. have been asked to be organized at various places. The UGC has also directed the heads of all higher educational institutions across the country to participate prominently in this program and publicity.
From village to village, anonymous freedom fighters are being searched.
Another important campaign is being run by the Ministry of Culture during the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. Under this, the search is being done from village to village for the anonymous freedom fighters. A target has been set to find about one lakh such fighter planes. All the districts have been asked to collect information about such people who took part in the freedom movement, but their names are not found anywhere in history. The special thing is that under this initiative, more than a thousand anonymous freedom fighters have been found so far.
