Twin CNG Cylinder
While CNG cars usually have a large CNG tank in the boot space, Tata Motors has come up with an amazing idea to eliminate this problem. The company has converted one big tank into two smaller tanks and these have been fitted in such a way that the boot space of the vehicle remains intact. It has two CNG tanks of 30 liters each, as well as spare tires mounted under the vehicle.
Engine and Power
Tata Punch CNG comes with a 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine. In CNG mode, this engine generates 77 bhp and 97 Nm torque. This is 13bhp less power than the petrol mode. It will be given a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol tank has a capacity of 37 liters, while the CNG tank will hold 7 liters. It is believed that this vehicle can give a mileage of up to 25 km per kg with CNG.
When will it be launched?
Tata Punch is the second best-selling car of the company. Its CNG version was first shown at the Auto Expo 2023, which suggests that the company may launch it in the coming months. The CNG version of the Tata Punch could cost up to Rs 90,000 more than the petrol version.
