TV Somanathan, Finance Secretary

The current Finance Secretary has been TV Somanathan, a 1987 batch IAS officer. He was Joint Secretary within the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. In addition, the minister has also been a member of the Prime Minister’s Office from 2015 until 2017. He has an honorary Doctorate in Economics and is a Chartered Accountant (CA) as well a Cost Accountant as well as a Company Secretary (CS).
