Maruti, which is the leader in the SUV segment, also wants to target the market of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

For a long period, Maruti Suzuki and Toyota have been developing SUVs. This much-anticipated SUV is expected to be unveiled in June or July. It’s also possible that the corporation will release it closer to the holiday season. So that people can get a new option in SUV. Maruti, which is the leader in the SUV segment, also wants to target the market of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Currently, the Japanese manufacturer is establishing itself in the SUV market. Toyota’s Bangalore factory has also begun production and trials. New pictures of this SUV have surfaced, which have been clicked outside Maruti’s Gurgaon plant.

Maruti is codenamed YFG and Toyota is codenamed D22
Maruti has given this SUV the codename YFG, whereas Toyota has given it the codename D22. Maruti Suzuki and Toyota will sell both these SUVs with their different branding. However, the SUV will be built on this platform. The engine will also get the same. However, there will be a lot of change in their design. Looking at the pictures, it seems that they will be like Creta and Seltos, Taigun and Kushak.

There will be manual and automatic transmission
be available. The SUV could be offered with two petrol-hybrid engine options. One will be a mild hybrid, while the other will be a full hybrid. It will be more powerful and efficient in terms of fuel use. Both a manual and automatic transmission will be available for the powerplant. The cost of the SUV will be reduced due to the localization of parts. In this regard, the production of a lithium-ion battery, which will power the SUV’s hybrid powertrain, has already begun.

In terms of looks, it will be a Maruti Suzuki SUV
Bigger grille than Toyota. The bumper will also have a unique design. The bumper of the Toyota SUV will get more air space. Both the SUVs will get high-mounted LED DRLs which will be fitted with headlights. The design and finish of the alloy wheels of the SUV will also be different, due to which the difference between the two will be visible.

Expect a nice sunroof
Maruti and Toyota are doing their best to succeed in the compact SUV segment. All kinds of equipment and facilities will be available in their new cars. Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza, both recently released, are examples of this. Some of the equipment on the SUV will include a heads-up display, connected technology, a large touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, cooled seats, and more. Maruti has a stronghold in the subcompact SUV segment with the Vitara Brezza and Toyota’s Urban Cruiser. Both of these models will be updated in the following weeks.
