For highrise structures along Greater Noida’s main highways, façade illumination will soon be required. According to officials, the local government is developing a policy that will mandate that 40% of a building’s façade be illuminated at night.
Lights will be erected on structures on each side of the 105-meter-wide road in front of the Greater Noida authority office and the 130-meter-wide section that connects Greater Noida with Noida Extension in the first phase.
There are a number of retail establishments in the Alpha and Delta sectors along the road in front of the authority building at Knowledge Park IV. Numerous offices and highrise apartments may be found along the 22-kilometre route that connects Greater Noida and Noida Extension.
The action is consistent with the authority’s goals for the beautification of the city. It has been mandated to use vivid colours when painting roundabouts and other public areas. Ritu Maheshwari, CEO of the Greater Noida authority, gave authorities the order to draught a policy on façade illumination during a recent review meeting.
It will make the city seem better. A distance of 500 metres can be used to instal these lights. The installation of lights on the sides of buildings facing the main road will be required for educational institutions, group housing developments, and corporate offices, she said.
The Noida Authority made façade illumination on buildings off the Noida-Greater Noida motorway essential in August of this year. At least 40% of the facade that faces the road must have lighting installed.
The Noida policy stipulates that building owners have four months to instal the lights from the moment they get a notice from the city. The layouts of all structures off the motorway must include a provision requiring the installation of lights. The layouts won’t be accepted without it.
