The Delhi government’s Free Electricity Scheme has received more than 40 lakh applications. Out of the 57.60 lakh household electricity users overall, more than 40 lakh have requested electricity subsidies, according to data made public by the government.
Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, recently stated that individuals who wish to benefit from the free power subsidies must submit an application through the free electricity programme.
Either online or offline application methods are available. The only customers who will receive free electricity are those who apply.
People who utilized these companies applied
The government announced on Tuesday that 40,28,915 persons had submitted applications for the free electricity subsidy programme.
This applies to consumers of Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, BSES Yamuna Power Delhi Distribution Limited, and BSES Rajdhani Power Limited. Additionally, consumers who reside in the New Delhi Municipal Corporation’s service region are included.
The last day was November 15th.
Only those who apply by November 15 will receive free electricity subsidies for October, according to the senior official. Subsidies will then be offered to those who have applied in December and future months.
On November 15, more than 37 lakh people sought free subsidies. It should be noted that the deadline for submitting an application for the plan was October 31. 35 lakh persons applied for free subsidies at this time.
After that, the deadline was moved up to November 15th. Before this programme, 47 lakh people received subsidies at the same time.
How to use
You can apply for this by just leaving a missed call if you wish to. Call the number 7011311111 in the beginning. You will now receive an SMS with a link for a subsidy. As soon as you click on this link, the WhatsApp website will load.
The CA number must be entered. On your display, a pre-filled subsidy form will appear. Now pick the Free Subsidy option by clicking on “YES.”
