There are less than ten days till the IPL 2024 season begins. There is excitement about the tournament throughout India. While every team had prepared for the competition throughout the auction, a few of them are currently experiencing significant difficulties. Numerous elite athletes have left the Mega League. In which, before the T20 World Cup, some players withdrew their names because of employment commitments, and others are recovering from injuries.
The T20 World Cup and IPL 2024
would not include Mohammed Shami, the standout bowler for Team India. Jai Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, acknowledged this. Shami sustained an injury at the 2023 World Cup. Due to this he had undergone surgery and has now been away from cricket for a long time. Shami is a part of the Gujarat team in IPL.
Delhi Caps’ performance
in 2023 Indian Premier League was poor. There has been negative news regarding this team even before the forthcoming season. While star batsman Harry Brook has missed the entire season, captain Rishabh Pant has returned to the field. On Brook, Delhi has invested Rs 4 crore. The team has not yet disclosed who will replace Brook.
The Lucknow Super Giants,
led by KL Rahul, have also experienced a significant loss. Renowned bowler Mark Wood opted out of the IPL 2024. Due to workload management, Wood disregarded the Indian Premier League in favor of the T20 World Cup at the England Cricket Board’s request.
Prasidh Krishna, a bowler for the Indian team,
has once again been fortunate. Krishna missed the previous season with an injury. He now had an injury during Ranji. That’s why he’s not playing in the IPL 2024 anymore. Krishna plays for the Rajasthan Royals, led by Sanju Samson.
In addition to these,
the KKR team has also taken two hits. Two members of the KKR team who are from England have withdrawn from the IPL. Gus Atkinson and Jason Roy are the two players in question.
