Google Maps new feature: Online bullying has grown to be a major issue. We frequently stroll right in front of CCTV cameras while on the road without even realizing it. In addition, we frequently drive along roads where the posted maximum speed restriction is unknown to us. We thereby become targets of internet harassment.
Google Maps can assist
“Speed Camera Alert,” a new function, alerts vehicles to sites where security cameras have been deployed. Additionally, this feature informs drivers of the current posted speed limit. Drivers must activate the “Speed Camera Alert” setting in the Google Maps app in order to utilize the speed camera alert feature.
When this option is activated, Google Map will begin alerting drivers to the locations of installed CCTV cameras. The speed camera alert feature can help keep vehicles safe even in inclement weather. In inclement weather, drivers are frequently forced to slow down. Reminding drivers that the speed limit is lowered in bad weather is made easier with the speed camera warning feature.
How to use Google Map to enable the feature:
- Launch Google Maps on your iPhone or Android device.
- Press the “More” icon located at the bottom of the screen.
