PM Modi on government jobs: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given great news to the students preparing for government jobs. PM Modi has instructed the government that 10 lakh government recruitments will be done in the next one and a half years. This work will be done in mission mode. Prime Minister Modi’s office gave this information by tweeting on Tuesday.

PMO tweeted
The official Twitter handle of the Prime Minister’s Office tweeted that the position of human resources in all departments and ministries was reviewed and directed that the government should recruit 10 lakh people in a mission mode in the next 1.5 years. Let us tell you that the Modi government has been the target of the opposition on the issue of unemployment.

Congress and other opposition parties have been alleging that unemployment has increased in the country under the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. The opposition is continuously putting pressure on the government.

Earlier in April, PM Modi had met top government officials and asked them to give priority to the process of filling vacancies in various government departments so that opportunities are created. According to government data presented in the Rajya Sabha in February, 87 lakh posts were vacant in central government departments as of March 1, 2020.

India’s urban unemployment rate rose to 12.6 percent in the April-June quarter of 2021 from 9.3 percent in the January-March quarter. However, it fell short of the 20.8 percent level seen during the first wave of the Covid pandemic.
