Bank Holiday List in March 2022: This is the last month and fourth quarter of the financial year. In this month, people have to deal with many tasks related to banking, investment, and income tax. In such a situation, you should get out of the house only after seeing the list of bank holidays.

Because of this, people have to do many things related to banking, investment, and income tax in this month. On the other hand, a major festival like Holi is also celebrated this month. This time Mahashivratri will also be celebrated in the month of March. In this way, two big festivals will be celebrated simultaneously in March this year. In such a situation, if you have any kind of work in the bank, then you should not delay it because, in the month of March, there will be no work in banks for a total of 13 days in different zones including weekly holidays.

RBI is the regulator of banks. At the beginning of every calendar year, RBI releases the list of bank holidays for the entire year. RBI had also released the Bank Holiday List 2022 in its beginning in 2022. RBI releases this list on the basis of special festivals and occasions of each state. RBI also tells which zone’s banks will be closed on which holiday.

Banks will be closed for so many days in March 2022
Due to March 2022 (bank holiday list in March 2022), festivals, and other special occasions, banks in various regions will remain closed for a total of seven days. Apart from this, banks do not work on Sundays. Apart from these, banks are closed on second and fourth Saturdays. In such a situation, if you have any kind of work in the bank next month, then leave for the bank only after seeing the complete list.

March 1 (Tuesday): Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla Srinagar on the first day of the month on the occasion of Mahashivratri And banks in Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed.
March 3 (Thursday): Banks will not function in Gangtok on the occasion of Losar.
March 4 (Friday): There will be a holiday in banks in Aizawl due to Chapchar Kut.
March 6 (Sunday): Sunday is a weekly holiday in banks.
March 12 (Saturday): Banks will remain closed on the second Saturday of the month.
March 13 (Sunday): Banks do not work on this day.
March 17 (Thursday): There will be a bank holiday in Dehradun, Kanpur, Lucknow, and Ranchi zones on the occasion of Holika Dahan.
March 18 (Friday): On the occasion of Holi/Dhuleti/Dol Jatra, banks will remain closed in all areas except Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Imphal, Kochi, Kolkata, and Thiruvananthapuram.
March 19 (Saturday): Being the second day of Holi / Yaosang, there will be a public holiday in banks in Bhubaneswar, Imphal, and Patna.
March 20 (Sunday): Sunday is a weekly holiday in banks.
March 22 (Tuesday): Banks will remain closed in the Patna zone on the occasion of the Bihar Diwas.
March 26 (Saturday): Banks will remain closed due to the fourth Saturday of the month.
March 27 (Sunday): Sunday is a weekly holiday in banks.
