Hyundai debuted the all-new Creta in January of this year, and ever since, the mid-size SUV market has seen a stir. Sales in February and March were very good. Sales increased from 15,276 units in February to 16,458 units in March. As of March 2024, the Creta was also the second-best-selling vehicle. Hyundai has now raised the cost of the latest Creta. Its price has increased for the first time.

The base model E and the two Hyundai Creta

turbocharged petrol variants remain unchanged in pricing, though. These variations will cost the same as they did previously. This Hyundai mid-size SUV is available for Rs 11 lakh upon launch. However, the cost of the 1.5 Turbo DCT SX(O) and 1.5 Turbo DCT SX(O) dual-tone models is Rs 20 lakh and Rs 20.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The price of all other petrol models has been increased by Rs 3,500.

The cost of the Hyundai Creta’s

diesel variants have also gone up. Only the highest models, SX(O) 1.5 AT and SX(O) 1.5 AT Dual-Tone, remain unchanged in terms of price in the diesel range. They both cost the same amount—Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs 20.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)—as they did previously. Every other diesel model now costs Rs 10,500 more than before.

It is important to note that the 1.5-liter normally aspirated petrol,

1.5-liter turbocharged petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engine options for the Creta are available. The 1.5-liter diesel engine produces 114 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, the turbo engine produces 158 horsepower and 253 Nm of torque, and the naturally aspirated engine produces 113 horsepower and 143.8 Nm of torque. Both the diesel and petrol engines with naturally occurring exhaust are paired with a manual 6-speed gearbox. All three engines come with an automatic gearbox option: a 1.5-liter gasoline CVT, a 7-speed dual-clutch with a turbocharged engine, and a 6-speed torque converter option for a diesel engine.
