These days, hatchbacks seem to be relics of the past because SUVs are more popular among consumers. For this reason, automakers are offering a growing assortment of SUVs and crossovers. The second-biggest automaker in the nation is Hyundai. There are also more SUVs and fewer hatchbacks in its lineup. In the mass market, Hyundai i20, Creta, and Venue are highly well-liked. However, Creta and Venue are more expensive than the i20. Its exterior is less expensive than the i20’s, nevertheless. The brand’s entry-level SUV is called Exeter.

Prices for the Hyundai i20 range from Rs 7.04 lakh to Rs 11.21 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top trim. In addition, the cost of Hyundai Exeter starts from Rs 6.13 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.28 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top model. That is, both the base and top models of Exeter are cheaper than the base and top models of the i20.

Mileage, Engine, and Transmission

This tiny SUV has five seats and a 1.2-liter normally aspirated petrol engine. Along with this, a CNG kit is also an option. This engine produces 69 PS and 95 Nm on CNG 83 PS and 114 Nm on fuel. The petrol-CNG model only comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox; in contrast, the petrol version offers a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox as options. It provides up to 19.4 km/l of petrol and 27.1 km/kg of compressed natural gas.

One may describe Exeter as a feature-rich mini SUV. The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 4.2-inch digital driver display with MID, wireless phone charging, sunroof, cruise control, automatic climate control, dual-camera dash cam, six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, and VSM are among its features. Numerous features like hill hold assist.  In addition, it has a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), day-night IRVM, rearview camera, rear defogger, and three-point seatbelts for every passenger. In the market, it has competition from Maruti Ignis and Tata Punch. Punch sales, however, are substantially larger than this.
