India on high alert amid Corona threat, second booster dose also being discussed

The second booster dose of the Corona vaccine is being reviewed by India’s expert vaccination panel in light of the growing global infection wave. The action is being taken as the government works to expand the coverage of the initial booster shot. Only 28% of participants have yet to take the booster dose.

Government urging citizens to take a booster dose

On the recommendation of doctors, the federal government began administering the third or booster dosage of the Corona vaccine on January 10 of last year to frontline and healthcare workers, as well as individuals 60 years of age and older.
