The second booster dose of the Corona vaccine is being reviewed by India’s expert vaccination panel in light of the growing global infection wave. The action is being taken as the government works to expand the coverage of the initial booster shot. Only 28% of participants have yet to take the booster dose.

Doctors urged the beginning of the fourth dose.

Government focuses entirely on administering a booster dose

Government urging citizens to take a booster dose

On the recommendation of doctors, the federal government began administering the third or booster dosage of the Corona vaccine on January 10 of last year to frontline and healthcare workers, as well as individuals 60 years of age and older. All were welcome as of April 10th. To urge people to take the third dose, the government has implemented a number of initiatives. To commemorate 75 years of India’s independence, the Ministry of Health launched a campaign in July. In which the third booster dose was given away free of charge at government clinics for 75 days.
