Every day, thousands of people travel throughout the nation by rail. People also have to deal with many issues if the train is delayed or canceled. Meanwhile, the Indian Railways have canceled more than 200 trains. Actually, Railways made this choice with the G20 conference in mind. The G20 summit in New Delhi has just one week left. More than 200 trains have been canceled, according to Northern Railway.

Northern Railway reports that on September 9, 10, and 11 a total of 207 train services have been cancelled and 36 train services will be short terminated or short originated. In addition to this, six railway routes have been changed, and 15 train terminals have undergone alterations. According to a formal announcement, between September 8 and September 11, several trains have either been canceled or momentarily redirected to other routes or stops in consideration of the advisories provided for security precautions and been completed.

On Saturday, the Delhi Police carried out complete dress rehearsals around the capital city. They suggested that people consult the “G-20 Virtual Help Desk” for real-time traffic reports and route choices. These suggested routes are for getting to and from airports, train stations, or bus stops. Entry will only be permitted to residents and essential service staff who can prove their identities, according to the Delhi Police’s traffic plan.

The railways have also taken action to lessen the inconvenience for the passengers. The Railways have provided additional stoppage stations for 70 trains as a result. These consist of trains such as the Tejas Rajdhani Hazrat Nizamuddin, Varanasi-New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani, and Jammu Tawi-New Delhi Rajdhani, among others.
