According to the new rule, for booking tickets, you will have to verify your account.

Tickets will not be booked without verification
As per the rules of IRCTC, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, it is now mandatory for users to verify their mobile number and e-mail ID before booking tickets. Without verification of e-mail id and mobile number, you will not be able to book tickets online.

That’s why this rule came into force
Actually, there are many users of IRCTC accounts who have not booked tickets online since the beginning of the corona epidemic. This rule only applies to such people. If you too have not got the ticket for a long time, then it is necessary to do the verification first. Let’s know its process…

Get it mobile and email verification
Go to the IRCTC app or website and click on the Verification window.
Your registered email address and mobile number must be entered here.
Click the Verify button after inputting both pieces of information.
Once you click Verify, an OTP will arrive on your phone for you to enter to validate the mobile number. Similarly, your mail id will be verified after entering the code received on the e-mail id. Now from your account, you may purchase tickets for any train online.

Now you can book 24 tickets
Another big news for railway passengers is that the railways have increased the maximum ticket booking limit on one IRCTC user ID from 12 to 24 a month. Yes, now you can book 24 tickets in a month with Aadhar Linked User ID. Earlier this number was 12. Similarly, 12 tickets instead of 6 can be booked from an account not linked to Aadhaar.
