You can now run into issues if you plan to book tickets or go by rail as well. The decision has been made to suspend Delhi PRS services for several hours, according to Indian Railways. These establishments will be closed for a while. This implies that passengers won’t be able to use the PRS service during certain hours.

Due to the 24-hour operation

of railway facilities, work on software upgrades and maintenance is stalled. Railways has chosen to close this facility for a few hours to finish these renovations. There will be no service for 4.30 hours. The Delhi PRS Service will be closed from 11.45 p.m. on April 12 until 04.15 a.m. on April 13, according to information provided by Northern Railway. During these 4.30 hours, passengers will not be able to use a reservation, cancellation, charting, inquiry service (139 and counter service), internet booking, or EDR service.

Passengers have previously received advice from Railways to help them avoid this disruption. According to Chief Public Relations Officer Deepak Kumar, the Delhi PRS service will be momentarily unavailable for around four and a half hours on April 12–13. Passengers will therefore be unable to take advantage of numerous amenities. Allow us to introduce you to the Passenger Reservation System, or PRS. This is the online ticket booking service that Railways offers. Indian Railways provides this facility. Passengers can reserve unreserved tickets aboard trains by using the PRS facility.

Using the IRCTC website or IRCTC app, you can access the PRS feature of Railways. After logging into your account here, you can book tickets. In ticket verification, Railways discovered Rs. 173.89 crore. Senior Western Railway commercial officers have collected crores of rupees recently. The skilled ticket-checking crew undertook several drives from April 2023 to March 2024, recovering a total of Rs 173.89 crore, of which Rs 46.90 crore was recovered from the suburban area of Mumbai.
