Citroen created a tweet because automakers are now worried about Elon Musk being the new twit-head.

Once more making headlines, this time for becoming the new Twitter CEO, Elon Musk. Tesla’s founder has taken control of Twitter and will now be in charge of the social media site. As a result, it’s expected that other automakers will voice their worries or at the very least criticize Musk for the same. After all, they utilize Twitter as well to communicate with customers about their issues or to make public announcements.

But Citroen ended up being the first automaker to make a humorous jab at the Tesla owner. Hello to the social networking network run by one of our competitors, tweeted Citroen. Shortly after Musk assumed control of the social media network, GM stated that it would temporarily halt its advertising activities on Twitter.

Given that one of its competitors now owns the platform, Citroen’s tweet undoubtedly demonstrates the worry that other automakers feel. However, everything is presented humorously. The French automaker does not directly compete with Tesla because it continues to avoid the US market for electric vehicles. However, the company, which is run under Stellantis, intends to enter the market as the Tesla in the old continent.

Citroen now offers four different electric vehicles for sale in the European market, namely, ë-C4, ë-Berlingo, ë-C4 X, and My Ami EV. The company has also revealed the new Oli EV Concept, a truck created from recycled materials.

In actuality, this is not the first time Citroen has attempted to insult Citroen. On the billboard, the French company said, “Sorry Elon, the only way to obtain one is to buy us.” The memo was made public to highlight Musk’s desire to monopolize other companies. This took place not long after Tesla CEO Elon Musk finalized the 44 billion US dollar acquisition of Twitter.
