Starlink, a business owned by American billionaire Elon Musk, is prepared to join the Indian market. Jio and Airtel are now more tense as a result. The recommendation to assign spectrum to Starlink has been forwarded to the Department of Telecommunications. This advice was given on December 15 by telecom regulator TRAI. The process of allocating spectrum to Starlink in order to launch satellite broadband service is now on the way. Starlink will use satellite technology to deliver internet access directly.

Jio-Airtel and other tensions will rise.

Additionally, Amazon, Jio, and Airtel are getting ready to introduce satellite broadband in India. Although Jio and Airtel have already finished the regulatory process in this regard, Starlink appears to be the first business to introduce satellite service in India. Indian telecom will be directly impacted by this and another big company will come to compete with them in the market.

Next month, Starlink service might be introduced.

Next month, Starlink’s service might debut in India. The spectrum allocation technique is presently being considered by the Department of Telecommunications. Airtel and Jio want bids to be placed for allocation. By the end of this month, a decision regarding spectrum allotment will be made, according to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. This has sparked rumors that the nation may soon be able to access Starlink’s service.

Even remote locations will have connectivity thanks to Starlink.

Currently, Starlink offers its services in several nations, including America, Europe, and Australia. Connectivity in remote locations is its greatest advantage. In actuality, the network is independent of towers and other infrastructure. The internet is sent straight from the satellite. Because of this, it will become easier to access the internet in remote areas. However, its service will be slightly more expensive than Indian telecom companies.
