To replace the electronic oil pump controller, Kia India has recalled 4,358 Seltos sports utility vehicles that run on petrol. Recalls for Smartstream G1.5 petrol Seltos with IVT transmissions built between February 28 and July 13, 2023, were announced by Kia in a statement.
This 1.5-liter normally aspirated petrol engine produces
144 Nm of torque and 113 horsepower. Notably, the Hyundai Creta, which leads the segment, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and Volkswagen Taigun are competitors of Kia Seltos. According to Kia’s announcement, there may be a potential issue in the electronic oil pump controller, which is why the vehicles are being recalled. This might have an impact on how well the electronic oil pump functions in that particular gearbox type. The cars are being recalled as a result.
The corporation declared that it has shared
information about the initiative to recall the vehicles with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. According to Kia’s statement, the business is replacing the electronic oil pump controller in the affected vehicles because customer safety is its top priority.
To let them know about the vehicle return,
the company will get in touch with the worried owners directly. Let us inform you that the new Kia Seltos is priced between Rs 10.90 lakh and Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Trims include X-Line, GT Line, and Tech Line (HT). Eight monotone, two dual-tone, and one matte color variations are offered.
