Kia is rumored to be releasing its third SUV in India soon. The Kia Clavis, the company’s fifth product in India, maybe this. The codename AY mini SUV has a maximum length of less than 4 meters. It might be positioned in the portfolio below Sonet by the corporation. Its testing has reportedly begun, and a production model introduction is anticipated for the second half of 2024, according to media reports. In the market, it will face off against Hyundai Exeter and Tata Punch.
In contrast to the Kia Sonet and Seltos,
the Clavis is expected to have a more boxy look. It can have a distinctive Kia grille, flat nose, big air dam, and LED headlamps positioned on the bumper up front. Surveillance photos reveal that this new compact SUV from Kia can be equipped with radar-based ADAS technology and front parking sensors. The cameras installed on the front grill and ORVM suggest that it may come with a 360-degree camera.
The 2019 Kia Clavis
is reportedly rumored to include L-shaped LED tail lamps, sleek door handles, dual-tone alloy wheels, and brake lights positioned slightly downward. Additionally, a panoramic sunroof is anticipated; should this materialize, it will be a segment-first feature.
Numerous options,
such as phone charging ports, AC vents, movable headrests and armrests in the back, heated front seats, and three-point seatbelts for all three occupants, may be included in the vehicle. It is anticipated that the new Kia Clavis will come with a 1.0L turbocharged and 1.2L normally aspirated petrol engine.
