Maruti is prepared to begin 2023 by expanding its vehicle lineup. The automaker has announced that three new SUVs will be unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo in January. Moreover, a new Maruti Coupe SUV will be released (codename- YTB). Its official name and other data have not yet been disclosed. However, some media reports claim that it can also go by the moniker Maruti Baleno Cross. We’ll outline three connected points for you.

The booster jet

With the new Maruti small SUV, the automaker’s Boosterjet turbo petrol engine might make a reappearance. It was previously abandoned since it wasn’t BS6-ready, but it will now be available in BS6 form. The use of mild hybrid technology is also possible. Additionally, it can be given the choice of a 1.2L Dualjet or 1.5L Dualjet mild hybrid technology engine that uses naturally aspirated gasoline. In the automobile, manual and automatic transmissions will be available.

Features and Design

The Maruti Baleno Cross exhibits the brand’s new SUV design language, which was also used for the Grand Vitara. With compact LED DRLs, a split headlight system, and the recognizable “three-block” trademark on top of the bonnet, it might take on a more angular appearance.

Its design may share some characteristics with the Baleno hatchback and the Futuro E-Concept. A 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is available for the new Maruti Suzuki coupe SUV. Suzuki Connect functions and voice commands will also be included. Additionally, a computerized panel, an automatic air conditioner, rear AC vents, and numerous airbags will be included.

Release, Cost, and Competition

The new Maruti YTB SUV’s official debut date has not yet been disclosed. The car’s production version, according to reports, is expected to start selling in April 2023. The 2019 Maruti Baleno Cross SUV is anticipated to cost between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 13 lakh, depending on the trim level. It will compete with SUVs like the Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, and Hyundai Venue if the pricing range is maintained. Some of the original Creta iterations are also competitive.
