The all-electric Mercedes-Benz Maybach EQS 680 SUV has been made public. The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV has classic Maybach design cues throughout, including the grille. It is the first totally electric SUV produced by Maybach, the luxury division of the German automobile company. The Shanghai Auto Show has seen the debut of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680. The Maybach EQS 680 electric SUV’s concept form was unveiled at the Munich Auto Show earlier in 2021. The EQS 680 will be positioned above Mercedes’ flagship vehicle, the EQS 580 4MATIC, which is the current version of the electric SUV with the highest power.
Two electric motors—one on each axle—are used in the 4MATIC AWD system of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680.
The electric drivetrain generates power outputs of 649 bhp and 950 nm. With a peak speed of 130 mph (209 kmph), this ultra-luxury SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds. It will have several fast-charging options and a single full charge will give it a WLTP range of 600 kilometres.
The Maybach SUV is based on the base Mercedes EQS but
will come with a host of brand-new features and technologies. Additionally, there will be greater luxury in this. Speaking of the appearance, the bonnet will include a Mercedes three-point star. A black panel with distinctive 3D chrome-plated slats is added to the front.
Exclusive 21-inch alloy wheels are standard on the Maybach EQS
while optional 22-inch wheels are also available. With a continuous light strip for the taillights, the back is also given a little chrome touch. On the exterior, the EQS 680 will also receive a dual-tone paint job.
