In June 2020, Apple revealed app tracking tools along with the release of iOS 14. Apple announced that with iOS 14, users will be asked if they wish to be tracked by the app. Additionally, Apple stated that app developers had to disclose on their own what rights their apps want. As a result, there will be more transparency and users will be aware of the kind of data that the app can require from them. Additionally, it will describe how to track the gathered data off of the app.
Users will find Apple’s App Tracking Transparency
option to be quite helpful. Users can choose whether or not to allow any app to track their activity with this functionality. Should you decide to opt-out, Apple will stop the application from accessing identifiers on your device that associate your activity with an app.
How to disable tracking when installing new apps
Locate the app in the App Store first. Open the newly downloaded software. Here, a pop-up message will appear and ask you to approve the app’s tracking of your activities on the websites and apps of other businesses. You may also see what the app is going to track. To stop that activity, hit Ask App Not to Track or Allow.
With every app you download,
you have the option to automatically opt out of app tracking. Navigate to Settings to do this. Here, select Tracking under Privacy and Security, then disable Allow Apps to Track. This implies that any program that seeks to obtain your consent will be blocked by default.
