The government has continued to act in the populace’s best interests. Different programs are undertaken by both the state and federal governments to help the populace. The Madhya Pradesh government just made a statement for the benefit of the populace. This has provided relief to thousands of residents of the state. According to Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, contractual workers in the state will receive the same perks as permanent government workers. This covers leave facilities, health insurance, equitable pay, pension, gratuity and work regularisation.
Pension and Gratuity – MP government announcement
The announcement follows years of contract workers’ protests. According to recent announcements by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, around 1.5 lakh contractual workers in Madhya Pradesh will receive the same perks as permanent government workers and will not be subject to the annual contract renewal procedure.
Fair Pay
In support of the contract workers who have been demanding job regularisation for the past three years, Chauhan made a number of statements. In the hiring process, 50% of the positions will be designated for contract workers, according to CM Chouhan. They will get pay on par with that of ordinary workers, and gratuities will be given upon retirement. They will be provided with health insurance as well as all other leave benefits, including maternity leave.
The National Pension Plan
According to the Chief Minister, contract workers will now be eligible for the National Pension Scheme (NPS). And will receive health insurance just like regular government workers. In addition, children of contract employees will be eligible for employment on a compassionate basis in the event of a death of an employee.

Tell that for the past three years, contract workers have pressed for the regularisation of their employment. And the provision of equal benefits to state government employees. CM Chouhan announced various things when addressing a convention of contract workers in Bhopal, including pension, health insurance, and gratuity benefits.
