You will now find it simpler to place Zomato meal orders. This will help those who select the cash-on-delivery option. Deepinder Goyal, the founder of Zomato, has introduced a new function that eliminates the burden of changing money. If there is a balance during cash payment, customers who purchase cash on delivery can now request that the “delivery person” add it to their “Zomato Money” account.
Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of the Zomato,
stated on Wednesday that clients might use this sum to pay for meals out or place more orders. He expressed gratitude to BigBasket, a Tata Group company, for providing the idea’s inspiration. On the social media site “X,” Goyal stated, “It can occasionally be challenging to receive change on orders that have been paid for cash. From today, our customers can pay the delivery partner in cash, and ask for the remaining amount to be added to their ‘Zomato Money’ account instantly.
This amount can be used for future orders or eating out.
He said, “Thanks to BigBasket for inspiring this solution and thanks to our delivery partners (three of them are working with us as product managers) for insisting that we develop it as soon as possible. The company reported last week that its consolidated net profit for the first (April-June) quarter of the current financial year has reached Rs 253 crore. In the same period of the last financial year, it was just Rs 2 crore.
