Debt Waiver Scheme: After the transfer of Rs 2000 of the 11th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi by the Central Government, the 12th installment is awaited. On May 31, Prime Minister Modi transferred PM Kisan’s eleventh installment during a program. However, there will be more good news for the farmers before the 12th installment.

During Yogi Adityanath’s first tenure as chief minister, this plan was abruptly abandoned. This was the reason that some farmers could not take advantage of it. Now the government is considering starting the scheme again for such farmers.

The High Court was consulted over the issue of providing advantages to farmers.
Was closed by the UP government in September 2019. Actually, the farmers were not able to profit from the UP government’s loan waiver program. The High Court heard some of these cases. After this, the government is considering giving them the benefit of this scheme.

Provision to give amount by September-October
Recently, in a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Durgashankar Mishra, it was decided to release it after discussing the budget of the scheme. Now it is expected that a provision should be made to give funds by September-October to the farmers who do not take advantage of the scheme.

Crop loans of other farmers will be waived
According to the information provided by the government, the High Court has already been informed that the government will forgive all qualifying borrowers’ loans. farmers whose petitions are pending in the court. After the allocation in the supplementary budget in the coming months, crop loans of the remaining farmers will be waived.

Crop loans up to 1 lakh will be waived
Let us tell you that after assuming the power of UP for the first time in March 2017, CM Yogi announced to waive the loans of farmers. It was said by the government that crop loans up to Rs 1 lakh taken by small and marginal farmers on or before 31 March 2016 would be waived.

Consensus reached 45 lakh out of 66 lakh names
At first, banks provided a list of 66 lakh farmers eligible for loan forgiveness. But after investigation, this list came down to 45 lakh people. However, the administration declared that the program would end in September 2019. To pay the outstanding claims, the government may now have to put aside 200 crores.
