Rabi crop has been devastated due to the recent unseasonal rains. The national government has asked to examine the loss caused to the farmers. Punjab govt gives relief to farmers, state farmers in Punjab have received assistance from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Only on February 27th of last year did the 13th payment of the government’s PM Kisan Yojana reach the accounts of the farmers. The recent unseasonal rains have harmed the Rabi crop. The central government has asked to assess the loss caused to the farmers. On the other hand, state farmers in Punjab have received assistance from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Punjab govt gives relief to farmers
In light of the crop damage brought on by rain and hail, CM Bhagwant Mann announced a moratorium on the repayment of loans obtained from primary agricultural cooperative societies. He anticipated that by taking this action, the farmers would be much relieved during this difficult time. In the statement, Mann indicated that the farmers may pay this sum once they had recovered from their losses. He said that doing this would prevent many farmers from defaulting. Additionally, they will still be qualified to apply for loans for the following crop season.

According to the Punjab govt Chief Minister, farmers can obtain short-term agricultural loans from state cooperative groups. Mann said earlier in the day that he had given orders for a special “girdawari” (field inspection) to be carried out as soon as possible to evaluate crop damage brought on by the recent rains.

in the districts of Moga, Muktsar, Bathinda, and Patiala. In several areas of the state, wheat and other crops have been harmed by unseasonal rainfall, hail, and strong winds.
