The facility began with Hazrat Nizamuddin station.

Under the agreement between ISKCON and IRCTC, the facility was inaugurated at Hazrat Nizamuddin station in Delhi. In the next few months, the railway facility will also begin in various zones. It has been observed numerous times that these passengers have difficulty eating food during long travels. They do not take in garlic and onion. Some question the purity of the food they buy from the food truck and are hesitant to eat it. However, now these passengers won’t have any issues.

People who travel with passengers have lots of problems eating on train journeys that are long. To ease the suffering of passengers on these trains the step was adopted by IRCTC. The passengers on the train can get food at the Govinda restaurant.

What will be the options to eat?

IRCTC stated that the service was designed with in mind the pilgrims who go to a holy site of worship. If it gets a positive response during the initial phase, the service can be extended. The menu features a variety of traditional dishes from the sattvic cuisine, such as Deluxe Thali, Maharaja Thali, Old Delhi Veg Biryani, Paneer Dishes, Noodles as well as Dal Makhani.

If you’d like to avail of this service and enjoy healthy meals on the go and on the road, you can make a reservation through the IRCTC online catering website or through the food on Track app. Customers will need to make an order using a PNR Number at least 2 hours prior to departing on the train. Then, satvik food will be served to the seat you are sitting in.
