The Home Ministry’s Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (I4C) has identified the eight most common forms of SMS headers in online fraud. In the last 3 months, more than 10,000 messages have been sent using these headers. The companies using these headers have been blacklisted. Also, 73 SMS headers and 1522 SMS templates used by the blacklisted companies have been blocked. Now no telecom operator will be able to use any of these SMS headers and SMS templates.

Aside from this, telemarketing using mobile numbers has been outlawed by the government. The use of a mobile phone for promotional purposes will result in its disconnection. Furthermore, his name and address will be blacklisted for two years. Only numbers of 180 and 140 series can be used for telemarketing calls. 10-digit mobile numbers are banned for marketing.
