Tata Motors has been confident in its EV approach, and it now wants to enter the market for high-end electric SUVs. The Sierra idea debuted at the previous Auto Expo, but this year’s Auto Expo has a more production-ready concept. The Sierra now has four doors and a more realistic cabin design, but the many screens and straightforward dashboard design maintain the basic appearance.
Although the exterior design keeps the concept look
it clearly has a boxy SUV-like body shape. The Sierra, a premium electric SUV from Tata, will only be available in electric form.
The Harrier EV, which is plainly based on the Harrier
but appears more production-ready, was the other major unveiling. It is anticipated to arrive sooner. The diesel Harrier does not have an all-wheel drive system or a dual motor arrangement.
The front bumper style and the new alloy wheels
are obviously EV-specific design elements, while the interior has a significantly larger screen than the present Harrier. The Harrier EV is anticipated to arrive first, followed by the Sierra EV.
With these two EVs
Tata Motors is aiming to increase its market share and target the luxury EV market. Both SUVs will be equipped with all-wheel drive and cutting-edge EV technology. The price and how both SUVs will be positioned in comparison to the present diesel SUV lineup are the two main concerns.
