Apple’s next AirPods Pro might come with health features. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reports that the company is exploring earbud capabilities including temperature and heart rate tracking.

Apple has been putting a lot of effort into adding health features to its wearables and iPhones over the last few years. With capabilities like heart rate, SpO2, ECG, and more, the Apple Watch is proving beneficial to users. Furthermore, a new feature for Apple AirPods is a hearing aid. According to the rumors, the corporation is currently working on expanding the earbuds’ health functions. A Bloomberg article claims that Apple is developing the next generation AirPods Pro with temperature sensing and heart rate tracking.

Apple may include these health functions in their next AirPods Pro

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the business is apparently developing new health-focused features for its upcoming AirPods Pro model, which will follow the Apple Watch. According to a recent story, Apple is testing the earbuds’ ability to sense temperature and pulse rate. The AirPods are reportedly improving, with readings that are not that far off, but the Apple Watch is still more precise when it comes to heart rate tracking.

Apple is apparently reevaluating its plans

To incorporate cameras into the AirPods in addition to these health improvements. As the corporation looks to improve its AI skills, this concept—which has surfaced in rumors over the previous year—is apparently now given more emphasis. Gurman thinks that the release of any AirPods with cameras is still years away. However, the next generation of AirPods Pro, which are already in the early stages of development, may introduce heart rate monitoring sooner rather than later.

Qualities in Next Generation Airpods

By improving audio in real-time, Apple’s Hearing Aid feature in the AirPods Pro 2 is intended to assist customers with mild to moderate hearing loss. As one of the first consumer items to use hearing aid technology, this function has been approved by the FDA.
Like conventional hearing aids, the AirPods Pro 2 will boost frequencies that people with hearing loss usually find difficult to hear. In addition, iOS 18.1 will have features for hearing protection on the smartphone, which are intended to shield users from loud noises. With the help of these features, the AirPods Pro 2 will keep an eye on the surroundings and automatically turn down loud noises, including traffic or concert noise, to protect the user’s hearing.
