A few years ago, TVS debuted the TVS Creon at the Auto Expo, an electric scooter that not only looked revolutionary but also had some amazing design elements. Years later, the business introduced the TVS X, the TVS Creon’s manufacturing version. Has the Creon charm actually vanished? We fill you in on every detail.

TVS X’s Design

  • Regardless of the angle you view it from, the X looks the part. A dynamic motorcycle-inspired body design dominates the front section. The headlamp assembly, which unites the two pieces, is not only entirely made of LEDs but also has distinguishing lighting patterns. Additionally, the indicators are flush-fit. Additionally, the X has attractive cornering lighting that is cleverly placed. Although new, the alloy wheel design is similar to the TVS NTorq scooter, which is praiseworthy.
  • The distinctive center spine, where the battery pack is located, gives the scooter a very distinct character. On top, there is a charging flap. This is genuinely new for the Indian market, and the only other item with a similar style is a sporty moto scooter driven by ICE. It’s a nice thing that the footboards on either side appear to be substantial and that the riding position is similar to that of traditional scooters.
  • The X’s Moto scooter characteristics can be seen by taking a closer look at the handlebar. The device has a sizable 10.25-inch configurable infotainment system that serves as both a video player and gaming console in addition to providing normal data. The switchgear is new and different, and the levers can be adjusted. The X also has cruise control, which functions in accordance with the three available riding modes.
  • The X has a twin-seat configuration. It goes without saying that the rider’s perch is larger than the pillion’s. When not in use, the pillion-foot pegs are discretely integrated into the rear area of the bodywork. On the other hand, the grabrails are incorporated into the streamlined bodywork’s rear part. Overall, we are happy to report that the TVS X is a very attractive vehicle.

Chassis, Battery, and Range for TVS X

The main element of the TVS X, which is based on a brand-new platform, is a high-precision cast aluminum alloy frame. The 4.44kWh battery pack that powers the TVS X claims to provide a 140km driving range. It has the choice of a Smart X Home rapid charger, which charges from 0% to 50% in 50 minutes (optional add-on 3 kW fast charger), or a portable charger, which charges from 0% to 80% in 4 hours and 30 minutes (950W charger).TVS X

Motor, riding modes, and top speed on TVS X

With a 0-40kmph dash speed of 2.6 seconds, the X boasts the fastest EV in its segment with 11kW of peak output. 0-60 km/h is reached in 4.5 seconds. The actual maximum speed is 105kmph. Three riding modes are available on the X, with Xonic being the most potent. It would also be appropriate to point out that the TVS X uses a Ram Cooled Motor rather than the current forced convection cooling techniques, which enables dynamic cooling for crucial components and provides long-lasting performance.TVS X

Price and delivery for TVS X

The TVS X will be priced at Rs 2,49,990 (Ex-showroom Bengaluru) for the initial release, with portable 950W chargers costing Rs 16,275 (including GST), and a 3kW Smart X Home quick charger being offered as an option. For TVS X, the FAME incentive is not applicable.

The TVS X will be sold with “First Edition” insignia on the first 2,000 units. The addition of a Concierge service and a Garmin Smartwatch, created to work with the TVS X, enhances the experience. An additional Rs 18,000 is required for this exclusive deal. Beginning in November 2023, deliveries will start.
