In the realm of performance automobiles and motorbikes, BMW has produced some breathtaking works of art. Delivery of their flagship motorcycle, the BMW M 1000 RR, has just begun in India. This bike is the priciest model offered by the firm.
There are two versions available
Standard and Competition. The competitive variant costs Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom), while the normal variation costs Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom). It costs more than the Toyota Fortuner SUV at this pricing point. The ex-showroom pricing of the top-of-the-line Fortuner variant in India is Rs 51.44 lakh.
This sports bike is modeled around the BMW S 1000 RR.
Nonetheless, there have been numerous updates and design modifications. A potent 999cc inline 4-cylinder engine producing 211 horsepower and 113 Nm powers the BMW M 1000 RR. Its gearbox has six speeds. The bike also comes with a bi-directional quick-shifter to make shifting gears easier. In terms of performance, it takes only 3.1 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km per hour. The bike can reach a top speed of 306 km/h.
Hardware and Functionality
Its suspension is monoshock up back and USD front. The front wheel has a 320 mm dual disc brake, while the rear wheel has a 220 mm disc brake. Features on the bike include twin channel ABS, steering stabilizer, seven ride modes, traction control, slide control, launch control, and hill start.
