Moore said, ‘Excess sodium intake makes hair dull and weak, and this is also the reason for their loss. However, too little sodium can cause problems with hair growth. He said, ‘If the thyroid is unbalanced then your hair will also be affected.

According to experts, the strength of hair depends on the vitamins and minerals present in your diet. Iron and Vitamin B5 prevent hair thinning and keep the scalp healthy while protein is essential for hair strength and shine. Apart from this, the quality of hair also deteriorates due to environmental problems, which is common.

Excess salt is dangerous – The body depends on salt for the proper functioning of nerves and muscles, but its excess increases blood pressure. According to the NHS, adults should consume no more than 6 grams of salt a day. This equates to about one teaspoon, which contains 2.4 grams of sodium. You can track your salt intake by taking precautions while cooking or eating.
