Upcoming Tata Curve will be different from Nexon these 7 ways

Tata

At the recent Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, Tata unveiled the Curve, which is currently close to production. This wasn’t an EV; it was the ICE variant. In the market, it will face off against SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. It will be a more fashionable product, though. Up until now, Tata Motors’ options for a compact SUV were restricted to the Nexon, a sub-4 meter SUV; nevertheless, the Curve is short to be released.

Dimensions

The Nexon is smaller than the Curve in all dimensions (length, width, height, and wheelbase). A sub-4 meter SUV is the Nexon, and an SUV larger than 4.3 meters is the Curve’s length, making it competitive with cars like the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara.

Style

The Curve’s roofline, resembling a coupe, is its most notable characteristic. The Nexon features an upright tailboard, while the Curve has a taller rear profile that will give it greater cargo room. Boot space on the Curve will be 422 liters, 40 liters greater than on the Nexon. On the Curve, Tata has opted for flush-fitting door knobs.

Large Wheels

The Nexon models with higher specs come with 16-inch alloy wheels. Concurrently, the business equipped the Curve model on display with 18-inch alloy wheels. It will have larger wheels than the Nexon, even if it is included in the production-ready version of the Curve.

An expansive sunroof

In contrast to the single-pane unit on the Curve, Tata has chosen to install a panoramic sunroof. This will help in ventilating the cabin. Plus, it will make it feel less claustrophobic inside.

A handle that resembles a Harrier

Although the 2-spoke steering wheel will be different, the Curve’s interior will share many features with the Nexon. It sports a 4-spoke steering wheel, similar to the Harrier’s, with audio and telephony functions illuminated along with the Tata logo.

Big touchscreen

The instrumentation and infotainment displays of the Nexon are 10.25 inches apiece. Concurrently, the Curve will have a 12.3-inch center screen, making it even larger. The new Nexon EV, which has wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, is equipped with the same module.

ADAS

It is anticipated that the Tata Curve and the Nexon would have largely comparable safety features. Nevertheless, it also contains ADAS, which can have features like adaptive cruise control, rear-cross traffic alert, and autonomous emergency braking (AEB).
