Agreement in relation to UPI in France
In a speech to Indians in the French city of Paris, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that Indian tourists will soon be able to make UPI payments at the Eiffel Tower as well. He stated that an agreement has been reached between India and France to begin accepting payments via UPI at the Eiffel Tower. This will make paying at the Eiffel Tower simpler for visitors from India. According to him, this deal will provide Indian innovators access to a sizable new market.

Speaking to the Indian diaspora in Paris, France, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that India’s UPI and other digital platforms had brought about a significant social transformation. He claimed that France and India are also collaborating in this area.
He revealed that the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) of India
has a contract with the “Lyra” online payment system of France. Indian travelers and businesspeople will find it simpler to make payments in France as a result.
