The renowned batsman Virat Kohli stated once more. This time, he completely outclassed the Punjab Kings bowlers in IPL 2024. Kohli played outstanding batting on March 25th, Holi. He had a furious innings for the Bengaluru-based Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. It was Kohli’s maiden fifty of the IPL 2024 season. He was important in the team’s triumph as he hammered the Punjab bowlers.

With 49 balls, Kohli scored 77 runs in his innings. He scored two sixes and eleven fours. Virat scored runs with a 157.14 strike percentage. He set a significant record throughout this inning as well. In T20 cricket, Kohli has scored 50 runs or more for the hundredth time. Virat is the only Indian batsman to play 50+ innings 100 times in T20 cricket. He has joined the club of Chris Gayle of the West Indies and David Warner of Australia.

This accomplishment was made by Kohli in his 378th inning. Gayle has 463 T20 innings with 110 fifty-plus innings. Warner has completed 109 of these. Virat has since added himself to this list. He played a crucial innings that helped RCB win. The Orange Cap for this inning goes to Kohli as well. With 98 runs in just two games, he is presently the tournament’s leading run-scorer.
After winning the toss, RCB captain Faf Duplessis chose to bowl first. In 20 overs, Punjab Kings scored 176 runs at six wickets. With 37 balls, Shikhar Dhawan scored 45 runs. Glenn Maxwell and Muhammad Siraj each claimed two wickets. RCB scored 178 runs for 6 wickets to win the game. Virat Kohli scored the maximum 77 runs. Dinesh Karthik remained not out after scoring 28 runs off 10 balls and Mahipal Lomror remained not out after scoring 17 runs off 8 balls. Kagiso Rabada and Harpreet Brar took 2 wickets each.
