The month of October is over halfway through. The holiday season has begun as well. Twelve days remain. However, banks will have a ten-day break in total. If you have any significant work pertaining to the bank in this scenario, you should start making plans right now. The RBI calendar indicates that banks will be closed in the upcoming days in observance of Ram Navami, Durga Puja, Dussehra, and other holidays. These days have two Sunday holidays and eight holidays associated with festivals.

Banks Holidays differ between states and cities

The holidays included in the RBI calendar could change depending on the state and the city. You can use net banking to complete your banking transactions throughout the holidays. Throughout the entire month of October, there were two Saturdays in addition to the five Sundays. Tell us why, throughout the remaining days of this month, banks will be closed for ten days.

1) Durga Puja (Maha Saptami) on October 21 (Saturday) is a bank holiday in Bengal, Assam, Tripura, and Manipur.

2) Banks are closed in Tripura, Karnataka, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Kanpur, Kerala, and Jharkhand on October 23, Monday, in observance of Dussehra (Mahanavami), Ayudha Puja, Durga Puja, and Vijay Dashami.

3) Tuesday, October 24, is Dussehra (Vijayadashami) and Durga Puja. It is a bank holiday in all states except Manipur and Andhra Pradesh.

4) Wednesday, October 25, Durga Puja (Dassain) – Sikkim bank closes

5) October 26, Thursday: Sikkim and Jammu & Kashmir banks are closed in observance of Durga Puja (Dassain) and merger day.

6) October 27, Friday: Sikkim’s bank holiday is Durga Puja (Dassain).

7) Lakshmi Puja on October 28 (Saturday) is a bank holiday in Bengal

8) Tuesday, October 31, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthday—Gujarat bank closed in

In addition, banks are closed on October 14th, the second Saturday, and October 28th, the fourth Saturday. The banks will be closed on October 22 and October 29 due to Sundays in the remaining days.
