The Income Tax Department previously warned that

failing to link PAN Aadhar by March 31 could result in a fine of up to Rs 1,000; however, such a PAN would still be useful for one more year, until March 2023, for the purposes of filing ITRs, claiming refunds, and other I-T procedures.link pan adhar

Many holders of PAN cards are

interested to hear whether the Tax Body will extend the Pan Adhar link deadline further this time or not, given that the CBDT has previously extended it on a number of occasions.link pan adhar

SAG Infotech’s MD, Amit Gupta, told

“Despite the necessity of this requirement, the administration has previously repeatedly pushed back the date for PAN-Aadhaar linking. The latest letter from the income tax division was thorough and greatly raised awareness of the need to link Pan Adhar. It seems unlikely to me that the deadline for link PAN Aadhaar will be extended in the future.”
