With a full charge, MG electric car can travel 230 km, price is Rs 6.99 lakh

The MG Comet EV is the most affordable electric car that is currently offered in India. Since its premiere in India last year, MG Comet has gained a lot of traction with the populace. When India’s Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, declared in Budget 2024 that electric vehicles will become more affordable, we felt it would be appropriate to share with you today the lowest-priced electric car available in the country. Features and Details

A 17.3kWh battery pack and an electric motor with 42 horsepower and 110 Nm power the MG Comet EV. The battery pack has an ARAI-certified range and is IP67 rated of 230km. The company is offering the EV with a 3.3kW charger, which takes 7 hours to fully charge it. The battery pack for the Comet EV is sourced from Tata Autocomp. MG says that its running cost is Rs 519 per month.

With dimensions of 2974 mm in length,

1505 mm in width, and 1640 mm in height, the MG Comet EV is incredibly small. It has a 2010 mm wheelbase. This tiny electric automobile has a very elegant cabin. Keyless entry, three USB ports, iPod-style steering-mounted controls, two 10.25-inch screens (one for the infotainment system and the other for the digital instrument cluster), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over 55 connected features, and a rotary drive selector between the front seats are just a few of its many features.

In terms of safety, the MG Comet EV is equipped with equipment like tire pressure monitoring, ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, and a reverse camera and sensor. There are five color options for it. The price is 6.99 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).
