In India, small/mini SUVs are becoming more popular. Tata Punch currently rules the mini SUV market, but Hyundai Xtor will challenge it moving forward. Today, July 10, 2023, Hyundai Motor India will introduce its Xeter mini SUV. It will be the South Korean automaker’s smallest and most cheap SUV in India.
With a nominal fee of Rs 11,000
reservations for the Hyundai Exter are now being accepted. The SUV will be offered in 15 variations and five trim levels. The trims available are EX, S, SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect. Its base variant’s pricing is predicted to be Rs 6 lakh, and the fully loaded variant’s price is predicted to be Rs 10 lakh.
A 1.2-litre petrol engine will be included
according to Hyundai. Along with this engine, a CNG kit will be available. Both a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox will be available for it. But CNG models will only come with manual transmissions. This engine’s output on fuel is 83 horsepower and 114 nm.
The Hyundai Xtor SUV will be a little bit wider, taller
and more roomy than the Punch. Its dimensions are 3800–3900 mm in length, 1631 mm in height, and 2450 mm in wheelbase. Punch has dimensions of 3700 mm in length, 1690 mm in width, 1595 mm in height, and 2435 mm in wheelbase.
The 2017 Hyundai Exter SUV will be the first vehicle in its class
to feature an electric sunroof and a dashcam with twin cameras. Six airbags are included as standard. Along with this, it will have features like tyre pressure monitoring system, 3-point seat belt reminders for every seat, isofix, hill hold assist, electronic stability control, and traction control.
