Twitter: Elon Musk reportedly fired Parag Agarwal as CEO of the Twitter company, according to US media reports.
Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, is now in charge of Twitter. In his Twitter bio, Elon Musk identified himself as the platform’s founder. According to recent reports, Elon Musk has fired several important employees, including Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal.
In addition to CEO Parag Agarwal, Policy Chief Vijaya Gadde has reportedly also been let go, according to US media reports. Parag and other senior employees have also been let go from the San Francisco office. Ned Segal, the CFO, is one of these officers. Elon Musk announced the acquisition of Twitter on April 13. He had made an offer to purchase this platform for $44 billion, or $54.2 per share.
However, his deal was suspended during that time. Elon Musk then decided to cancel the agreement on July 8, but he changed his mind early this month. On Thursday, Elon Musk visited the Twitter office; the resulting video quickly went viral online.
Parag Agarwal, the CEO of Twitter, Ned Segal, the CFO, and Vijaya Gadde, the head of legal affairs and policy, were reportedly all fired at the same time, according to US media sources. Additionally, it has been said that Parag Agarwal and Ned Segal were working in the office when Elon Musk’s agreement with Twitter was finalized and that they were then kicked out.
