TVS Ronin and Yamaha FZ25 Specification Comparison: TVS Motor Company has finally launched the newly-retro styled motorcycle in the form of the new TVs Ronin 225. The company claims that the new Ronin motorcycle does not belong to any specific segment, however, it feels more like a cafe racer and scrambler. In terms of price and specifications, the new TVs Ronin 225 will compete with bikes like Yamaha FZ25 and Bajaj Dominar 250 in the market. So let’s compare the specifications of the Ronin and the FZ25 to know which one is more powerful.
Yamaha FZ25 and TVS Ronin 225. Engine Specifications of
The new Yamaha FZ 25 is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC engine (BS6) that generates 20.5bhp power at 8,000rpm and 20.1Nm peak torque at 6,000rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. On the other hand, the TVS Ronin 225 is powered by a 225.9cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine, which is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This engine is capable of generating 20.1bhp power at 7,750rpm and 19.93Nm peak torque at 3,750rpm. It also gets an assist and slipper clutch.
The FZ 25 gets telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock. It has a 220mm disc in the back and a 282mm disc up front. Additionally, the motorcycle has dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). TVS Ronin 225 gets 41 mm USD (upside down) front forks and mono-shock at the rear with a 7-step adjustable preload.

For braking in Ronin, it gets a 300mm front disc and 240mm rear disc. It also gets a dual-channel ABS system. The curb weight of TVs Ronin 225 is 160kgs, while that of Yamaha FZ 25 is 153kgs. Both the models get a 795mm seat height and 14-liter fuel tank.
