Sawan 2025 Shiva Mutthi: Worshiping Shiva in Sawan puts an end to all problems. In the month of Sawan, a lot of offerings are made to Lord Shiva. However, ‘Shiva Mutthi’ must be offered to Lord Shiva on Sawan Monday.
Significane of Shiva fist: –
The significance of Shiva fists, such as Jalabhishek and Rudrabhishek, rises as soon as the month of Sawan begins. Offering Lord Shiva’s fist on Sawan Monday bestows a great deal of virtue.
However, let me explain what Shiva Mutthi is and how it is offered in Sawan if you are unfamiliar with it or have never offered it to Lord Shiva before.
The Shiv Puran mentions Shiva Mutthi. This states that during the month of Sawan, a custom known as Shiva Mutthi, involves presenting a handful of grains to Lord Shiva. Offering Lord Shiva his favorite grains in Sawan is said to make him happy.
What should be offered through Shiva Fist?
Rice, white sesame seeds, wheat or barley, urad dal, whole moong, and satua are the five varieties of grains found in Shiva’s fist. On Monday of Sawan, Shiva’s fist should be presented in the evening.
A handful of rice grains should be given to the Shivling on the first Monday, followed by a handful of white sesame seeds on the second Monday, a handful of whole green grams on the third Monday, and a handful of wheat or barley on the final Monday. A few Satua should be served on the fifth Monday of the year if Sawan has five Mondays.
There are four Mondays in Sawan this year; three are left after one Monday has already passed. Please be aware that you can offer the grain to Shiva on the following Monday if you neglected to offer Shiva the fist on any given Monday.
