Did you know that you can get AC travel when you purchase a train ticket for the sleeper coach? This may surprise you, but it does occasionally happen. Today, we’ll explain the Railways scheme that allows you to take an AC3 trip even if you have a sleeper ticket.
The Railways have a provision called the Auto Upgradation Scheme.
Railways currently only created this plan for its gain. This function was established to guarantee that no seat in a train remains empty on behalf of the Railways. On trains, it is common to observe that first-class and second-class AC seats are frequently empty. These berths are costly, and Railways must incur significant losses as a result of these berths remaining vacant.
Railways had carefully launched the Auto Upgrade Scheme to prevent this loss.
In this case, the tickets of the passengers in the lower classes are upgraded if there are any open seats in the top class. Railways inquires as to whether you would like your ticket to automatically upgrade at the time of booking. Your ticket will be upgraded if you choose the “yes” option; otherwise, nothing will happen. Aside from this, it is regarded as yes if you do not choose a choice.
Assuming a train has six empty seats in
First AC and three empty seats in Second AC, some passengers in Second AC will have their tickets upgraded and placed in First AC. The passengers of Third AC will be upgraded to Second AC. Will go. After this, some seats will become vacant in Third AC, in which the waiting list of passengers will be placed in Third AC.
