With the Elevate, Honda has joined the competitive mid-size SUV market, which, as we all know, is already dominated by the Hyundai Creta. Honda Elevate will now rival it. Engine Honda elevate
Based on the fifth-generation City platform, the new Honda Elevate SUV has the same engine as the City. It is equipped with a 1.5L, 4-cylinder, normally aspirated petrol engine that produces 121 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque for city driving. The engine comes with a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission option. That is, the new Elevate has two gearbox options, but just one engine option.
Engine for a Hyundai Creta
There used to be three engine options for the Hyundai Creta, but there are now only two. It offers both a petrol and a diesel engine choice, while the Elevate does not. A 1.5L 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 116PS and 250Nm powers it. Both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox are available. This implies that while the torque is relatively great, the power is a little lower than the Elevate, which is a benefit of having a diesel engine.
The 1.5 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine in it produces
115PS power and 143.8Nm torque at the same time. It has slightly less power and torque than the Elevate. While driving, you wouldn’t even notice the difference. Both a 6-speed manual and an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) are available.
