There is good news if you live in Delhi and own an old vehicle. The Delhi government has released new guidelines for automobiles that have reached the end of their useful lives. The new regulation states that automobiles that have reached the end of their useful life in Delhi, the capital, can only be confiscated while being driven or parked in a public area. The Transport Department will not seize an individual’s old car if it is parked in his private lot. Indeed, a number of these situations involving cars that had reached the end of their useful life were reported last year, and anomalies were discovered in them. The court directed the Delhi government to create new regulations following the revelation of these cases.
